SPECIAL CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING Wednesday, June 19th, 2024 – 12:00 P.M. (noon) Council Chambers – Woodbine, IA The special council meeting of the City of Woodbine, Iowa was held pursuant to law on the above date and hour. Mayor Cogdill called the meeting to order with the following members present: LENNING, VANDEMARK (via phone), GAU, MANN, & BANTAM. Mayor Cogdill led the pledge of allegiance. Motion Gau/Mann to approve the agenda. Ayes: 5 Motion carried. Motion Gau/Bantam to approve increasing the City deductible on property insurance to $25,000 and increasing the deductible on the linebacker policy to $10,000 all still being with EMC Insurance. Ayes: 5 Motion carried. Motion Lenning/Mann to approve the city mowing the airport grounds and the Airport Board taking care of the trimming. Ayes: 5 Motion carried. Motion Gau/Vandemark to approve moving forward with a 10 year TIF Agreement (100% for years 1-5 and 75% for years 6-10) with Jason Barry. Ayes: 5 Motion carried. Discussion on purchasing of Police Dept. vehicle/equipment from City of Logan resulted in Council deciding to not move forward with a purchase at this time. Motion Gau/Lenning to adjourn at 1:13pm.
