CITY OF MONDAMIN SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Mondamin City Hall Wednesday, June 5, 2024 6:00 P.M. 1. Opening of Meeting a. Mayor Jamie Howrey called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., leading those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. b. Roll Call Council members present: John Glennie, Jim Rains, Karen Breyfogle, and Mary Seago. One vacant seat. Staff present: Alyx Hirst. Public present: None. c. Approval of Agenda Motion made to approve agenda by J. Rains, with a second by J. Glennie. Motion carried 4-0. 2. Public Comments None 3. Old Business None 4. New Business a. Quotes for new central air and heating unit Quotes were received by Guinan Heating & Cooling ($6,260.00) and Vandemark Heating & Air ($6,308.00). Vandemark stated their warranty would be 10-year parts and Guinan stated their warranty would be 5-year parts. M. Seago motioned to approve the Vandemark Quote, and it was seconded by K. Breyfogle. Motion carried 4-0. b. Roberta Anderson wage increase The Mondamin Community Center Board recommended a $100.00 monthly increase to the manager’s wages. If approved by the council, it would go from $175.00 to $275.00 per month. They also recommended an increase in the cleaning wages from $50.00 to $75.00 for each cleaning. Motion to approve recommended wages by M. Seago with a second from K. Breyfogle. The motion passed 3-1 with J. Glennie abstaining due to being on the community center board. 5. Other Business None 6. Adjourn Having no further business to conduct, K. Breyfogle made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by J. Glennie. Motion carried 4-0.
