SPECIAL CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING Friday, September 20th, 2024 – 12:00 P.M. (noon) Council Chambers – Woodbine, IA The special council meeting of the City of Woodbine, Iowa was held pursuant to law on the above date and hour. Mayor Cogdill called the meeting to order with the following members present: LENNING, VANDEMARK (via phone), GAU & MANN, BANTAM was absent. Motion Mann/Vandemark to approve the agenda. Ayes: 4 Motion carried. Motion Gau/Lenning to enter closed session per IA Code 21.5(1)(i) to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session. Ayes 4 Motion carried. Entered Closed Session at 12:19pm. Returned to Open Session at 12:32pm. Motion Gau/Lenning to hire a Public Works Department employee pending said employee’s acceptance of union contract terms. Ayes 4 Motion carried.
