Martin Kent Gillespie, 69, of Missouri Valley, passed away on April 1, 2026.
Born in Omaha, Neb., to Albert and Marjorie Gillespie, Martin was a proud United States Air Force veteran and worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, creating art, and listening to The Beatles, and was especially known for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his daughters, Daun (Josh) Stoddard of Norfolk, Neb., and Christina (Mathias) Gubbels of McLean, Neb.; brothers Gail and Robert Gillespie; eight grandchildren; as well as a niece Tawnya; a nephew Derrick of California; his Aunt Karen; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his biological daughter, Katy Sutherland, and his parents.
Martin will be remembered for the laughter he brought to others and will be deeply missed.
