Kathryn Jean Sutherland, age 41 of Blair, passed away Jan. 9, 2025, at her home in Blair. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Kathryn was born Jan. 21, 1984, lived in Blair, Neb. In her younger days she graduated West Harrison High School in Mondamin. She married Luke Sutherland from Blair, and they were blessed with two children Kaleb and Keaghan. Katy enjoyed spending time with her children, listening to music and playing games with her kids. During her working career she devoted herself to helping others in need.
She is survived by her children; Kaleb and Keaghan Sutherland; father of her children and friend Luke Sutherland; mother Mary Birdsall; brother David Birdsall; grandmother Joyce Johnston; her biological father Marty Gillespie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
She was preceded in death by Dennis Birdsall, the man that chose her as his daughter; grandfather, George Johnston; grandparents Marge and Al Gillespie; and her uncle Tom Johnston.
