Dennis Edward Grubb, age 85 of Missouri Valley, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, with his daughter by his side.
Dennis was born on Dec. 8, 1940, to Wallace and Myrna Grubb in Mo. Valley.
Dennis graduated from Mo. Valley High School and then married the love of his life Janice. They were married for 63 years until her passing.
Dennis worked for Safeway in Mo. Valley until it closed, then went to work for Foodland in both the Mo. Valley and Woodbine. He then moved on to work at Bomgaars and Wheelers in Omaha, Tekamah, Onawa, and Blair.
Dennis was an avid gardener. He along with his wife planted a Loess Hills Prairie in their yard. Dennis had many hobbies including Ham Radio Operator, fishing, and motorcycle road trips across most of the US and Canada. Dennis enjoyed hiking with his family, but most of all just spending time with his family.
The sandhills of Nebraska held a special place in his heart and he made many road trips and hikes throughout them.
Those left to cherish Dennis's memory is his daughter Lisa (Terri) Smith, grandson Kyle Smith (Dana Arends), brother Phillip Grubb (Georgia), nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Myrna Grubb, and his beloved wife Janice.
A graveside service was conducted on Sept. 3, 2026.
