David Eugene Chambers went home to be with the Lord Oct. 23, 2025, at the age of 70 years, nine days old. Born Oct. 14, 1955, to Ralph and Donna (Carson) Chambers of Pisgah. He was the oldest of four children.
Dave grew up in Pisgah and attended West Harrison schools. Dave graduated from West Harrison high school.
On April 29, 1974, he married the love of his life Lesa Woody. To this union two children were born, LaVern David, and Lena Ann.
Dave started working at Kinder~Morgan as a crane operator right out of high school and retired from there in 2010.
In Dave’s spare time he loved to work on cars. He has his very own junkyard consisting of 300 cars at one time. Dave was a Chevy man. There was not an automobile he couldn’t fix.
After Dave retired from Kinder~Morgan, his hobby switched from automobiles to Massey Harris tractors. He acquired quite a few of those since his retirement.
Dave loved spending time at his shop tinkering. He was the man to go to if you had a problem. If he didn’t know the answer, he would find out by calling around to all his buddies. It wouldn’t take him long to get back to you with an answer.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lesa; nephews, Brent and Michael; and his dog Simon.
Dave is survived by his son, LaVern David Chambers; daughter Lena Ann Chambers; grandchildren, Triston Chambers, Jazmyn Vaughn, Oliver, and Regie all of Missouri Valley; sister Carol Thomas of Council Bluffs; brothers Alan Chambers of Harlan, Brian Chambers of Woodbine; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted Nov. 4, 2025, at Hennessey Funeral Home.
