Connie Lee Hildreth, 79, of Whiting, formerly of Mondamin, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, near Whiting, at her residence.

Connie Lee Neill was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Mondamin, the daughter of Everett and Opal (Ruffcorn) Neill. She attended Mondamin Public School and graduated with the class of 1963.

Connie and Russell Hildreth were united in marriage on June 8, 1963, in Mondamin. Russell passed away May 15, 2010.

She worked at Perfection Press as a book bindery for many years and loved being able to raise her family. Connie enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and camping.

Connie was a member of the Eagles Club. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Mondamin.

Survivors include her children, Troy (Patty) Hildreth of Harlan, Marvin (Jennifer Tew) Hildreth of Whiting, and like a daughter, Tina Fitzmaurice of Ankeny; grandchildren, Marvin Hildreth Jr., Haley Hildreth, Everett Hildreth, Maggie (Brayden) Tew, Clyde (Ashlynne) Hildreth, Gage Hildreth; step-grandchildren, Jade, Elaine, Dylan, Perry, Cade, Chelbi, Brody, Jessica, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Clyde Charles Hildreth, Jr., and Waylyn Michael Tew; brother-in-law, Royce Hildreth; sisters-in-law, Sandy Tucker, JoAnn Hildreth, and Dorothy Hildreth; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ray Hildreth; infant son, Neal Ray Hildreth; sister, Patsy Lewis; parents, Everett and Opal (Ruffcorn) Neill; parents-in-law, Charles and Nina (Crews) Hildreth; nephew, Brian Lewis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Dorothy), Warren (Martha), Phyllis (Harry), Janece (Ed), Arlan, Joe, Elaine, Bernard (Doris), Neva (Estel), and Helen(Norman).

A funeral service was Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Church of Christ, Mondamin, with Pastor Wayne Bahr, officiating. A recording of the service was posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Connie’s obituary. Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery, in Magnolia. A visitation was Friday, July 12, 2024, with a prayer service at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa. Arrangements were under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
