In preparation for its 150th sesquicentennial on Sept. 14, 2024, the City of Modale is updating the Snyder Imrie American Legion Post 695. Thanks to a grant from the Jimmy King Foundation, the city was able to replace the windows with energy efficient ones, added a handicapped accessible automatic door closure and fresh paint inside and out. The remainder of the outside painting will be completed soon. This building also serves as the Emergency Shelter for the community which has been used several times this year already. There are additonal updates planned for this facility in the future.
