Harrison County Supervisors Meeting December 4, 2024 The Boards of Supervisors from Crawford, Harrison, Monona and Shelby Counties met as part of a 4-county regional meeting. Harrison County Chairman Tony Smith welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order. Attendance: Brian Rife, Megan Reffett, Taryn Wegner, Tony Smith, Bo Fox, Peggy Rolph, Taryn Knapp, Steve Kenkel, Charlie Parkhurst, Terri Martens, Craig Dozark, Jean Heiden, David Muhlbauer, Ty Rosburg, Kyle Schultz Discussion on Compensation Boards Shelby, Crawford and Monana County have all voted to reinstate their County Compensation Boards. Harrison County shared their concerns with keeping the board and discussed other possible options. Discussion on Secondary Roads Monona County shared that they have recently started using a road groomer to help maintain gravel roads. Crawford County shared about a new type of hard surface road that they have tried using. All counties discussed types of rock being used and trucking options they are using. Discussion on Employee Benefits Harrison County shared concerns about health insurance. Counties shared what carriers they were using and what types of plans they had available. With business for the day complete, the Board adjourned with a motion Smith, Seconded by Rife. Motion carried.
