WEST HARRISON COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL BOARD MEETING – 6:30 PM April 21, 2025 HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY – MONDAMIN, IA The West Harrison Community School District Board of Education met in regular session with the following present: Randy Wohlers, Julie Kuhlman, Hillary Stevenson and Lorraine Thomas. Directors. Marty Fonley, Superintendent, and Tonya Radil, Board Secretary/Treasurer. Visitors. Called to Order. The meeting was called to order in the high school library at 6:31p.m. by President Wohlers. Roll Call. Consent Agenda. A motion was made by Director Kuhlman and seconded by Director Stevenson to consent the agenda. No Discussion. Directors Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Stevenson aye, and Thomas aye. 4-0 motion carried. Public Hearing on the FY 25-26 Certified Budget. The public hearing was opened by President Wohlers at 6:32 pm. Mr. Fonley reviewed the FY 25-26 Certified Budget. Received oral comment. Deborah Nelsen addressed Mr. Fonley, wanting an understanding of the proposed FY 25-26 budget. The public hearing was closed at 6:39 pm. Consideration of Adopting the FY 25-26 Certified Budget. A motion was made by Director Thomas and second by Director Kuhlman to adopt the FY 25-26 certified budget. No Discussion. Directors Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Stevenson aye, and Thomas aye. 4-0 motion carried. Consideration of 2025 Graduates. A motion was made by Director Thomas and second by Director Stevenson to approve the Class of 2025 graduates providing all requirements have been met. No Discussion. Directors Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Stevenson aye, and Thomas aye. 4-0 motion carried. Consideration of Non-Certified Staff Wages. A motion was made by Director Kuhlman and second by Director Stevenson to approve a .75 increase to non-certified staff. The salaried non-certified staff have been tabled until the next board meeting. No Discussion. Directors Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Stevenson aye, and Thomas aye. 4-0 motion carried.
