Cookie Sales teach life lessons to Girl Scouts

Besides cookies, Girl Scouts have benefits

Logan’s Girl Scout Troop 488 were out and about during this past cookie season. The girls worked incredibly hard selling cookies to raise funds that support their troop’s activities, service projects, and educational experiences.

Beyond earning money, the cookie program provided valuable life lessons. The girls developed skills in goal setting, money management, decision-making, and public speaking—experiences that will benefit them for years to come.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the troop also received an overwhelming number of cookie donations. In total, the girls were able to donate 74 boxes of cookies. These were shared with the residents and staff of Longview Nursing Home as well as veterans in Harrison County.

We are so grateful for the community’s support, which helped make both the girls’ learning experience and their giving efforts possible.
