State Golf: Tigers capture second straight Top-10 Finish

Tigers card Class 1A, Ninth place finish

Woodbine secured a ninth place finish at the Class 1A Boys State Golf Tournament on May 26-27 in Newton.

“I was very pleased with the performance over the two-day event,” stated Tigers Head Coach Alec Schweitzer. “It was the most difficult course we have seen this season, and with only one returning state participant from last season, I felt our guys played within their capabilities. You always want to play better, but we proved we deserved to be considered with the top teams in the state.”

The Tigers were paced by Carver Pryor (21st), Dawson Blum (29th) and Cal Pryor (37th) set the pace.

Woodbine earned its second straight top-10 finish at the Boys State Golf Meet (2026 – Class 1A, 9th place; 2025 – Class 1A, 3rd place).
