Reagan Blum earns top-10 world finish

Reagan Blum, who will be entering seventh grade at Woodbine Community School District this fall, just completed another top-10 finish at the National Junior High School Rodeo World Finals at Wells Fargo Arena, June 23-29, in Des Moines.

Blum had a couple good runs in the tie-down roping in the preliminaries, giving him a shot at the championship round Saturday evening. He was 14th place going into the championship performance and moved up to 9th in the world after a good short-go run of 11.55.

Blum is a two-time world qualifier in the team roping and ribbon roping. Last year (2023), he made it in breakaway as well, but made the change to tie- down roping this year.

Reagan is the son of Scotty and Katie Blum of Woodbine.
