Protect Logan’s Local Economy – Oppose Dollar General
Dollar General has signed a purchase agreement with the property owner to build just outside city limits on the south side of town on Hwy 30. However, the project cannot move forward without a rezoning approval—from Agricultural to Business/Commercial by the Harrison County Planning & Zoning Commission and the Harrison County Board of Supervisors this Thursday, March 19th.
As a board member of the Logan Community Foundation and dedicated volunteer to moving Logan forward, I am passionate about strengthening Logan’s economic and social vitality and improving the quality of life in our small community.
Since 2022, our community has made major progress, including:
Logan’s business district has grown significantly over the last decade. A Dollar General threatens that progress. Its presence would weaken locally owned businesses—Super Foods, Country Hardware, Eby Drug, One Farm, She Market Boutique, and others—by pulling dollars out of our community, reducing economic circulation, and lowering job quality. The short-term convenience does not outweigh the long-term economic and social costs. We can do better.
Will you stand with me against Dollar General in Logan?

Logan has momentum. Let’s protect it by supporting our local businesses and keeping our community’s growth in our own hands.
