NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED VACATION AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY In accordance with Section 364.7 Iowa Code (2023), notice is hereby given that the City Council of Woodbine, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on 5-14-2025 at 6:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber at the Woodbine City Hall at 517 Walker St, Woodbine, Iowa, concerning the vacation of the following parcels of City Owned real property: * That Portion of 7th Street, located East of Walker Street, in the Original Town Plat of Woodbine, Harrison County, Iowa. Being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block E Winters Addition of the Town of Woodbine; thence S 89°54’09” E on the South line of said Block E, 314.54’; Thence S 13°12’13” E, 82.26’ to the Northeast corner of Block 35, Original Town of Woodbine; Thence N 89°53’35” W, 80.00’ to the point of beginning, subject to easements of record, containing 0.59 acres, with its proposed conveyance to Todd Heistand subject to conditions by the city; and * A portion of the 30’ “Cattle Easement” located in Winters Addition to the Town of Woodbine and the Original Town Plat of Woodbine, Harrison County, Iowa. Being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the South East corner of Block E of Winters Addition, Thence N 13°26’37” W on the East line of said Block E, 155.17’; Thence N 89°54’25” E, 30.68’; Thence S 13°29’40” E, 155.29’; Thence S 13°43’11” E, 494.65’; Thence N 89°55’15” W, 30.90’; Thence N 13°48’55” W, 103.33’; Thence N 13°48’56” W, 309.05’; Thence N 13°12’13” W, 82.26’ to the point of beginning, subject to easements of record, containing 0.45 acres with its proposed conveyance to Todd Heistand subject to conditions by the city. The City Council will determine if the disposal of the above-stated real estate is in the best interest of the City of Woodbine, Iowa. At said time and place a public hearing will be conducted on the proposed vacation and conveyance, and at such hearing any person interested may appear and file objections thereto. The City Council shall hear the objections and any evidence for or against the proposal, and forthwith enter decision concerning vacation and conveyance of the real property at issue.
