Missouri Valley's Cheryl (York) Greenwood was honored before the start of Friday's (Jan. 17) home basketball game. York, a legenday forward in the iconic Iowa 6-on-6 basketball game, scored 59 points in a single game on Jan. 23, 1975 for the all-time single game scoring record. She is presented a plaque from Ms. Megan West.

Missouri Valley's scoring icon Cheryl (York) Greenwood was honored before the start of Friday's Western Iowa Conference battle between Logan-Magnolia and Missouri Valley.
It has been 50 years (Jan. 23, 1975) since she has scored the all-time single game scoring record of 59 points in a single game (back in the 6-on-6 era of Iowa Girls' High School basketball).
