Security National Bank announces Latta Scholarships

The Security National Bank of Sioux City, IA, Trustee of the Lucile Latta Charitable Trust, announced the names of the recipients of the 2026 Dean C. and Effie Haight Latta Memorial Scholarships. As Trustee, the Security National Bank Wealth Management Division and the Dean C. and Effie Haight Latta Scholarship Committee awards these scholarships annually to residents of Harrison County who have completed their high school education and are attending a college, university or technical school and for graduate studies.

 

A total $321,750 has been awarded for the 2026-2027 school year. Those attending a technical school or two-year program will receive $6,250.00, those attending a four-year or graduate program will receive $11,000.00. To date, 679 scholarships totaling $6,416,615.00 have been given to residents of Harrison County to assist as they continue their education.

 

There will be 11 scholarships of $6,250.00 awarded to: Maci Bertelsen (Logan-Magnolia), Sadie Clark (Lo-Ma), Elijah Esser (Lo-Ma), Nicole Hoefer (Woodbine), Toben Lasater (Missouri Valley), Reese Miller (Boyer Valley), Aiden Rangel (Missouri Valley), Adam Roden (Lo-Ma), Claire Sailors (Woodbine), Logan Thomsen (Boyer Valley), Luke Walski (Lo-Ma).

 

There will be 23 scholarships of $11,000.00 awarded to: Penelope Alvis (LoMa), Emerson Anderson (MV), Makenna Bales (LoMa), Margaret Barrett (LoMa), Adam Barry (Woodbine), Marki Bertelsen (Lo-Ma), Damen Cates (LoMa), Campbell Chase (Lo-Ma), Christian Dahir (Tri-Center), Shelby Divelbess (MV), Mason Herman (MV), Maclayn Houston (West Harrison), Jaiden Jahn (LoMa), Trinity Konsbruck (MV), Hailey Miller (MV), Mya Moss (LoMa), Isabella Rosengren (LoMa), Paige Russman (MV), Nicole Sherer (Woodbine), Natalie Vana (LoMa), Wesley Vana (LoMa), Keaton Voster (MV), Ava Worley (LoMa)
