MICHAEL GUNIA
CITY/TOWN: Dunlap
CANDIDATE FOR: City Council
EXPLAIN WHO YOU ARE: I’ve lived in Dunlap for most of my life and my wife, Jennifer, and I are raising our two daughters here. I have been a business owner and I have been employed by different businesses in town. So I’ve had the ability to see Dunlap from different vantage points.
WHY DID YOU RUN FOR THIS POSITION? I care about Dunlap and want to make sure the best decisions are being made on behalf of Dunlap citizens.
WHAT FROM YOUR BACKGROUND QUALIFIES YOU FOR THIS POSITION? I have served on City Council for several terms. During this time, we’ve worked to manage the budget to the best of our ability for the hard-working tax payers of our community. We’ve focused on streets, a new lagoon, improvements to the dam and much more. I was also a council member during the water booster station project and the improvements to main street (both lower and upper).
WHAT ARE YOU GOALS IF ELECTED? I’d like to see the lagoon and dam projects to completion.
