HARRISON COUNTY LANDFILL COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES January 8, 2026 The HCLC regular meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m., January 8th, 2026 by Chairman Struble. Roll call showed Representatives: Rife, Breyfogle, Sell, Shearer, Bantam, Woodward, Dewitt, Weigelt. Also in attendance was Manager Tyler Hinkel. Item #1) Approval of agenda. Motion was made by Breyfogle and seconded by Weigelt to approve the agenda. 9 ayes. Item #2) Motion was made by Shearer and seconded by Breyfogle to approve 12/8/25 meeting minutes. 9 ayes Item #3) Election of Officers for 2026- Breyfogle motioned to name Sherman Struble as board Chairman, Mike Anderson as Vice Chairman, and Brian Rife as Secretary/Treasurer. Weigelt seconded. 9 Ayes Weigelt motioned to nominate Breyfogle, Woodward, and Weigelt as the At Large representatives. Breyfogle seconded. 9 ayes Item #4) The budget and claims were reviewed. The board went through the bills submitted for the month and the checking and savings accounts. Motion was made by Breyfogle and seconded by Weigelt to approve the budget and claims. 9 ayes Item #5) was for Questions/Concerns/Misc. Information that the Representatives or Hinkel has: Item #6) Reports – Drop-Box Recycling Reports – Misc. Information/New Articles were looked at. Item #7) EMS report –. Hinkel gave a brief update EMS Programs. Item #8) Hinkel shared the timeline for the bid process for the upcoming cell construction project. Public Notice regarding the horizontal expansion of the landfill has been sent to the Harrison County Times Reporter as well as posted at the scale house. Motion to adjourn at 11:12 a.m. by Breyfogle seconded by Sell 9 ayes.
