Tigers strike fast, win big

Woodbine came out and took care of business in the season opener with a 60-20 win over Lenox on Aug. 28 in Woodbine.

“It was a solid performance in all three phases,” stated Head Coach Dustin Crook. “We had several first time starters in this week, and they did a great job.”

Micah Moores (106 yds, 4 TDs), Cal Pryor (2 TDs) and Reagan Blum (1 TD) finished with rushing touchdowns, with Cal Pryor throwing for 217 yards and one TD.

Jacob Cogdill (4.5 tackles), Brock Crook (4 tackles), and Lucas Olson (4 tackles) led a solid defensive effort.

“We saw some good things, but still need to improve in a lot of areas,” Crook concluded. “Now we look to build and move forward.”

Up Next (Sept. 4 / Sept. 11): Woodbine (1-0) will be at Sidney on Sept. 4 and at Fremont-Mills on Sept. 11 as the season gets underway.
