Tigers dominate, 70-6
Six first quarter touchdowns led Woodbine to a huge 70-6 Homecoming victory over Coon Rapids-Bayard in non-district action at Henry Boone Field on Oct. 3 at Woodbine.
“I think answered the challenge,” stated Head Coach Dustin Crook. “Our boys were ready to play, and with the way we came out and dominated, I think we opened some eyees with our dominant performance.”
Brody Pryor threw for 241 yards and six touchdowns, with Landon Blum (134 yds, 3 TDs), Brenden Wagner (31 yds, 1 TD), Joe Freund (11 yds, 1 TD) and Jax Pryor (44 yds, 1 TD) being the top targets. Homecoming King Glenn Promnitz added a rushing touchdown.
Defensively, the Tigers forced five turnovers, led by Brenner Sullivan (6 tackles / 1 fumble recovery), Matthew Tremel (6 tackles, 1 fumble recovery), Connor Murdock (1 tackle / 1 fumble recovery).
“Our defense set the tone with five turnovers, as we were in their backfield the entire night, we were locked in,” Crook concluded. “It was a great way to cap off Homecoming week, we took care of business, and now its onto the next.”
