Lawton-Bronson scored on all six first half possessions in a 39-0 win over Missouri Valley on Sept. 11 at Lawton.

“One step forward, two steps back the entire night,” stated Head Coach Jake Driver. “We have stressed doing the little things right that help keep us competitive. We’re hoping for a better effort this week.”

Markus Tyson (5.5 tackles), James Wendt (4.5 tackles) and Jack Handlos (3.5 tackles, 1 interception) led the Big Reds defensive effort.

Up Next (Sept. 18 / Sept. 25): Missouri Valley (0-4) will host Red Oak (6:30 p.m.) for Homecoming on Sept. 18; and travel to Shenandoah on Sept. 25 as District 8 play begins.

Missouri Valley was within one score at halftime (13-7), before Logan-Magnolia pulled away for a 27-7 win in non-district play on Sept. 4 at Missouri Valley.

Missouri Valley’s Jack Handlos (79 yards, 1 TD) and Luke Schroeder (66 yards) led the Big Reds ground attack.

The Big Reds defense was led by Handlos (12 tackles), James Wendt (8.5 tackles), and Draeson Allen (4.5 tackles).

“We gave our best effort of the season, and I was extremely proud of our fight,” stated Missouri Valley’s Jake Driver. “We didn’t get enough stops in the second half, and that’s where they won the game. The loss hurt, but we know we are close to reaching that next step. We’ll keep plugging away, and prepare for this week.”
