Bulldogs sink Vikings
Boyer Valley used a strong defensive effort to pull away from Stanton/Essex, 44-12 for a Homecoming Victory on Sept. 25 at McAllister Field in Dunlap.
“It was a fun night, for sure,” stated Head Coach Jeremy Christiansen. “The kids will remember playing in the mud for a long time.”
Defensively, Tristen Burkhart (8.0 tackles), Cameron Flaherty (7.5 tackles), Brody Koski (6.0 tackles) and Zach Sandvold (4.5 tackles) led a stout defensive effort for the Bulldogs.
Brody Koski (133 yards passing, 2 TDS / 160 yds rushing, 1 TD) and Cameron Flaherty (111 yards rushing, 1 TD / 51 yards receiving, 1 TD) led a balanced offensive attack.
“We took care of business, offense was efficient, defense was outstanding,” Christiansen concluded. “We are at point of season where we want to improve every week, be prepared, and stay on task.”
Up Next (Oct. 2 / Oct. 9): Boyer Valley (2-0, 4-1) will be at East Mills on Oct. 2, and host Woodbine for Senior Night on Oct. 9.
