Bulldogs fall short in playoff opener

Boyer Valley stayed within striking distance, but could not get the big stop in a 46-35 loss to Southeast Warren in the first round of the 8-Man State Playoffs on Oct. 24 at Liberty Center.

Brody Koski led the offense with 261 yards passing, and added four-yards rushing, finishing with four total touchdowns. Jericho Ingram added 80 yards rushing and 34 yards receiving. Tristen Burkhart finished with 94 yards receiving, and added two touchdown receptions.

Zach Sandvold led the defensive charge with 11.5 tackles, followed by Hayden Hicks (8.5 tackles), Burkhart (7.5 tackles) and Ingram (7.0 tackles).

The Bulldogs seniors include Owen Sindt, Justice Garvis, Levi Reineke, Logan Thomsen, Michael Davis, Lucas Lantz, and Wiatt Schulte. They finished their careers with 20 career wins, three straight winning seasons, and two playoff appearances in the last three years.

Boyer Valley finishes the season at 6-3.
