AUG. 5, 12, 19 AND 26 — MISSOURI VALLEY — WOODMENLIFE FOOD DRIVE: Bring three nonperishable food items to the Rialto Theater on any Tuesday in August and receive a ticket to that night's movie.

 

AUG. 13 — MISSOURI VALLEY — MUSIC IN THE PARK: 7 p.m. at Missouri Valley City Park. Featuring George & the Jrs.

 

AUG. 14 — DUNLAP — SOUND IMMERSION: 6 p.m. at the Dunlap Public Library.

 

AUG. 14-16 — UTE — UTE FUN DAYS: Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, followed by the Autism Walk & Ride at 7:30 p.m. Saturday events begin at 10 a.m. Sunday includes church in the park at 10 a.m. and duck races at 2 p.m.

 

AUG. 14-15 — MAGNOLIA — OLD SETTLERS CELEBRATION: Begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday and continues from 8 a.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the city park.

 

AUG. 15 — MISSOURI VALLEY — BACKPACK GIVEAWAY: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Missouri Valley United Methodist Church. Missouri Valley students may receive a backpack filled with school supplies.

 

AUG. 15 — MISSOURI VALLEY — WILLOW LAKE BLOCK PARTY: Noon to 4 p.m. Celebrating the campground's 50th anniversary.

 

AUG. 19 — MISSOURI VALLEY — COMMUNITY MEAL: 5:30-6:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

 

AUG. 20 — MISSOURI VALLEY — MUSIC IN THE PARK: 7 p.m. at Missouri Valley City Park. Featuring Robbie Sears.

 

AUG. 22 — LITTLE SIOUX — HOMECOMING: Parade begins at 10 a.m. Events continue throughout the day in the park.

 

AUG. 26 — MISSOURI VALLEY — COMMUNITY MEAL: 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Missouri Valley United Methodist Church.

 

AUG. 27 — MISSOURI VALLEY — MUSIC IN THE PARK: 7 p.m. at Missouri Valley City Park. Featuring the Loess Hills Choir.

 

SEPT. 11-13 — MISSOURI VALLEY — MOVALLEY RALLY: Scoop the Loop runs from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Car show registration begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, with activities starting at 10 a.m. Dock Dogs runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

 

SEPT. 19 — MODALE — PAGES & PUMPKINS FALL FESTIVAL AND CAR SHOW: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Modale Public Library.

 

THURSDAYS THROUGH OCT. 15 — MISSOURI VALLEY — WELCOME CENTER FARMERS MARKET: 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Welcome Center, 2931 Monroe Ave.

 

ON GOING — HARRISON COUNTY — FLAG RETIREMENT DROP BOXES: U.S. flags for retirement may be deposited at Missouri Valley City Hall, the Mondamin Community Center, the Woodbine Public Library or Dunlap City Hall.
