Dr. David Minnick joins CHI Health
CHI Health Missouri Valley Clinic is proud to announce the latest addition to its team, Dr. David Minnick, MD.
Dr. Minnick, a seasoned family physician with a deep understanding of rural health needs, will begin seeing patients in February. A native of Cambridge, Neb., population 1,000, Dr. Minnick’s appreciation for Critical Access Hospitals and rural health clinics is ingrained. His journey into medicine began at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, followed by his Doctorate from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1992. He further distinguished himself as Chief Resident at Truman Medical Center-East during his residency.
“Growing up in a rural community showed me first hand the profound impact a dedicated healthcare provider can truly have on their communities. It’s truly a privilege to serve our rural health communities,” Dr. Minnick said.
Before joining CHI Health, Dr. Minnick spent three decades serving Broken Bow, Neb., at the Central Nebraska Medical Clinic. His dedication earned him recognition as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine in 2011 and the Nebraska Medical Association’s Physician of the Year in 2021.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Minnick to our team,” said Amanda Lary, MSN, RN, CHI Health Clinic Administrator. “His extensive experience and commitment to rural healthcare will be an invaluable asset to our patients and community.”
Outside the clinic, Dr. Minnick enjoys time with his wife, Cathy, their seven children, and two grandchildren. He also pursues his passions for flying, dogs, and, naturally, Nebraska Cornhuskers athletics.
Dr. Minnick is available for appointments at CHI Health Missouri Valley Clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
