2026 Boys Soccer Recap
Week of May 18 - 21
HISTORY MADE: Lo-Ma net first post-season win
Logan-Magnolia did not win a single match in 2023, but senior Jason Kastner has stuck it out, and he and the Panthers were part of the historic event. Lo-Ma netted a 3-1 win over Underwood in the first round of the Class 1A Substate Tournament on May 19 in Logan.
It was the Panthers first post-season home victory in school history, increasing the single-season school record win total to eight. Lo-Ma started the high school program in 2018.
Lo-Ma’s Crosby Yoder (2 goals) and Jason Kastner (1 goal) both found the back of the net.
“I’ve been telling the guys all season long, even after tonight’s match,” stated Coach Jon Connealy. “We’ve been building for this moment for the last eight years. This makes all those extra hours of work are paying off, but we’re not done. Just keep playing our game, and do what we do.”
Up NEXT (May 27, 2026): Logan-Magnolia (8-6-1) advanced to the Class 1A Semifinals, as they will be at Western Christian, starting at 5 p.m. in Hull.
