Boyer Valley FFA Chapter contiues to stay incredibly busy & successful
Submitted by Boyer Valley FFA
We kicked things off on March 23rd by hosting Tractor Day in celebration of National Ag Day—a tradition that continues to grow each year. With over 18 tractors on display and more than 30 students riding or participating, it was a powerful way to honor the industry that means so much to our community. A special thank-you goes to the 4 County Fair Board for once again allowing us to use their facilities for parking and treating our students to a wonderful breakfast.
Following Tractor Day, 11 sophomores represented our chapter at Puck Ag Day (Manning), where they explored agriculture processing, learned about career opportunities, and gained insight into the company and its operations.
On March 30th, we wrapped up the month by hosting our annual FFA banquet. More than 150 members and guests joined us to celebrate the accomplishments of our chapter and its members over the past year.
We were proud to present several major awards, including:
Honorary Chapter Degree: Greg Thomsen & Will Epperly
Star Chapter Farmer: Sarah Roberts, Mataya Bromert & Lucas Lantz
Dekalb Agricultural Accomplishment Award: Justin Kenkel
Star Discovery: Joe Roberts
Star Greenhand: Braxton Donscheski & Liza Klinker
Members of the Year: Braxton Powers & Cooper Knickman
Numerous other members were also recognized for their achievements in CDEs/LDEs, top fruit sales, officer leadership, and much more.
It has truly been a full, productive, and rewarding few weeks. We’re excited to keep the momentum going and look forward to everything the rest of the year will bring!
