Morningside University - Safety. I worked as an assistant coach at Morningside for two seasons as well.
Camp, Practices have just started, What have you seen that you liked:
I have really liked our energy and senior leadership. We have a good group of seniors who invested a lot of time and hard work this summer preparing for this season. They have high expectations for themselves and they have done a good job of bringing energy and enthusiasm to practice every day.
What will be some of the bigger challenges:
It is always a challenge to focus every day on getting 1% better. Being able to bring a high-level of focus to practice every day without getting bored of the fundamentals is usually what separates teams. We will challenge our team to hone in on that every day this August.
What is your favorite thing about Friday Night Lights:
Feeling the excitement in the school and community. There is nothing that brings a community together quite like Friday Night Lights.
What are you most looking forward to in your first season at new school:
Building relationships with the players, parents, and everyone in the community. I have had the opportunity to meet a number of Logan-Magnolia Football alumni so far, and the pride they have in the football program is incredible. I am looking forward to working as hard as we can to add to that tradition.
